Sizing

How to size your nails for press ons :)

You’ll need:

꩜ Sticky tape, cellotape ect & a pen OR

꩜ A piece of string & a pen

꩜ A ruler

Tape

꩜ Starting on the thumb, then the index, then middle, then ring & finally the baby.

Stick a small piece of tape across your nail.

꩜ Use a fine pen to mark where each side wall of your nail bed ends.

꩜ Peel the tape off and place it flat on a ruler.

꩜ Measure the distance between the two marks in mm.

꩜ Repeat for all nails.

String

꩜ Start on the thumbs, then the index, then middle, then ring & finally the baby.

꩜ Lay a piece of string across the widest part of your nail. ꩜ Mark where your nail starts and ends (side wall to side wall).

꩜Place the string on a ruler and measure the distance in mm.

꩜ Do this for each nail.

Important: When measuring, the tape/string must actually touch your nail all the way across, from side wall to side wall. Don’t just hold it above the nail or let it “float” on top, it needs to follow the natural curve of your nail bed so the size is accurate.

How to Measure Nails with a Coin

꩜ Wash and dry your hands so the nails are clearly visible.

꩜ Place your hand on a flat surface (like a table) with fingers spread naturally.

꩜ Put a €2 coin beside your fingers.

꩜ Take a photo straight down from above , not at an angle. (This is important so the proportions aren’t distorted.)

꩜ Make sure your whole nail bed and the coin are both clearly visible in the same shot.

꩜ Take a separate photo with the thumbs straight down from above :)
